The CRS is an electronic system that is not only utilised in the promotion of sales but also in the provision of accurate and fast information regarding the bookings, prices and availability of products and services. Computer Reservation Systems (CRS) are widely used in the hospitality and tourism industry to make reservations. Specific users of (CRS) are hotels, airlines, travel agents, car rentals among other service tourism providers. Originally, the CRS was developed and utilized for flight ticket reservation. However, nowadays CRS is used for the distribution and storage of information regarding tourism services and products which can be done directly or indirectly. Moreover, the CRS has also led to the growth of opinion and review websites that are independent such as the Trip advisor. Travel websites not only offer an opportunity to read the guest comments and reviews concerning hotels and destinations but also provide an opportunity for hotels and destination providers to showcase their products and services to the masses. The future of CRS is bright as hotels and travel agents leverage the online space to promote their products since there is a wider audience online.en_US
