    Abstract
    Maendeleo ya teknolojia yamebadilisha sura ya matangazo ya biashara hasa kupitia kwa vyombo vya habari. Makala haya yanaangazia jinsi matangazo hutumia lugha pamoja na ishara za kisemiotiki ili kuwashawishi watazamaji wanunue bidhaa zinazotangazwa na kampuni ya Safaricom. Ishara hizo ni picha, rangi mbalimbali, mazingira, wahusika na elementi nyinginezo. Uchanganuzi wa ishara za kisemiotiki katika makala haya unaongozwa na nadharia ya Kress na van Leuween ya Muundo wa Ishara za Uoni (1996). Aidha, makala yanabainisha kuwa Kampuni ya Safaricom hutumia ishara nyingi za kisemotiki zinazotumiwa sambamba na lugha ili kuwashawishi wateja kununua bidhaa zao. Ishara hizo huundwa kwa ufundi mkubwa na huwa na maana fiche inayoeleweka kulingana na muktadha wa tangazo.
